Aggressive Skate Boots
Varieties of Aggressive Skate Boots
Aggressive boots are crafted to withstand substantial impacts and grinds during tricks at skateparks or on the streets. All aggressive skate boots usually adhere to the UFS standard, allowing them to accommodate most styles of aggressive skate frames. Aggressive skate boots primarily come in two forms: Hard shell boots and soft shell boots.
Among these, hard shell aggressive boots are the most favoured. These boots consist of a plastic shell encasing a removable liner. They ensure a snug fit and safeguard skaters from most impacts during manoeuvres.
Soft shell aggressive boots provide excellent support, enhanced comfort, and flexibility. They incorporate reinforced sections on the most vulnerable parts of the shell, making them ideal for grinds. However, for those intending to execute advanced tricks and high jumps, hard shell boots might be more appropriate.
How Snug Should Aggressive Skate Boots Be?
Aggressive boots need to fit snugly without causing discomfort. You should maintain the ability to wiggle your toes, and the presence of pressure points should be avoided. When trying on new aggressive skates, ensure minimal to no lateral movement.
Given that most support is derived from the cuff, you can adjust your laces and buckles as securely as possible to enhance skate responsiveness. The tightness of aggressive skates is also influenced by their design. Soft aggressive boots require secure fastening for increased stability, while hard shell aggressive boots naturally provide more support due to their plastic construction.
