The founder of this brand, Jan Welch, has been a central figure in the evolution of skater culture in the USA. Kicking off his skating journey in 1991, Jan aimed to foster unity within the skater community. He played a pivotal role in launching Scum Magazine, which within two years turned into a worldwide sensation, embracing the aggressive skating scene along with its associated lifestyle, music, and art. Scum Magazine was in circulation from 1995 to 1999.
Jan's acclaim largely stems from his video creations. In 2005, his film “Leading the Blind” earned the title of “Video of the Year” by the French blog Pello Mag.
