Surfskate Bearings
Glide Gracefully Through the Streets With Surfskate Bearings
An excellent set of bearings is essential for a seamless riding experience on your surfskate. Bearings are typically evaluated using the ABEC scale, which grades them for precision and accuracy. The ABEC scale ranges from 1 to 9, with higher numbers indicating greater precision. Most bearings are crafted from steel or ceramics.
What is the Method for Cleaning Surfskate Bearings?
Start by using your skate tool to detach the wheels from the trucks and then extract the bearings from the wheels. After completing this, you must remove the rubber shields with a sharp object such as a knife.
Subsequently, place the bearings in either a jar or a dedicated bearing cleaner containing an alcohol or acetone solution. Shake the jar for approximately 10 seconds or until the solution appears dirty. Afterwards, take out the bearings and allow them to dry. To confirm cleanliness, give them a spin. Are they spinning smoothly? Lastly, lubricate them with bearing oil. You are now ready to reassemble your setup and ride.
