Pro Scooter Pegs
What Is the Purpose of Pro Scooter Pegs?
Pro scooter pegs are cylindrical components that may be affixed to the wheels of a pro scooter. These pegs enable scooter riders to execute various grinds, stalls, and jumps which are not feasible on scooters lacking pegs. They are available in several lengths and are constructed from either metal or plastic.
Utilising Scooter Pegs
Pro scooter pegs can be positioned on either side of the front and rear wheel axles on your peg-cut deck. Typically, riders opt to install two pegs on the same side of the scooter, as they have a preferred side for performing tricks.
To grind on rails or boxes with a scooter, you must be capable of hopping onto the obstacle with the front, rear, or both pegs contacting the grinding surface. To finish the manoeuvre, simply hop off and ride away. There are numerous variations of this, and the list of tricks is extensive. Other peg tricks that involve greater use of your feet include nose and tail manuals, as well as a variety of jumps and spins.
Even though most trick scooter pegs come with a mounting bolt, remember that not all pegs are compatible with every pro scooter. The standard axle diameter provided with the pegs is 8 mm, which should match the diameter of your original axle. It's a common practice to purchase pegs, decks, and forks from the same brand to increase the likelihood of them fitting together properly.
