The aim of griptape for pro scooters is to enhance grip and control over the deck. Griptape acts like a large sticker with sandpaper on its surface.

Routine replacement of griptape is necessary, particularly when it wears down, losing its sand, or when larger sections become detached. Water and moisture significantly reduce the durability of griptape.

The majority of griptape available at SkatePro is pre-cut to a universal size suitable for pro scooters; however, some are designed for skateboards and need to be cut to fit independently.

Ensure the old griptape is removed and the deck is cleaned meticulously prior to applying new griptape.
