Shinguard Quality
High-quality shinguards come with a sturdy knee shield resistant to cracking and feature effective internal padding (preferably gel). The best designs also cover the lower part of the outside of your leg, which often receives hits from sticks.
Guidelines for Wearing Hockey Shinguards
Keep the boot tongue under the shinguard to prevent it from rubbing against your leg.
