Installing a BMX Stem: A Step-by-Step Guide

With our straightforward video tutorial on Freestyle BMX stem installation, fitting a BMX stem is now twice as straightforward:

Gently slide the stem onto the fork and ensure there is an adequate gap for the top cap to compress the stem onto the headset.
If there is no gap or the gap measures less than 2-3mm, introduce a spacer between the headset and the stem.
Rub grease onto the threads of your top cap, then use an Allen key to screw it on.
Align the stem with the front wheel and carefully tighten the side bolts of the stem.
Gradually tighten the side bolts, alternating between them to ensure they are tightened evenly.

Voilà! Your stem is now fitted, allowing you to proceed with installing your handlebars!
