The Rottefella Basic is a traditional screw-on touring binding designed for novice classic cross-country skiers. It features a wide heel piece to enhance stability. You need to mount this binding directly onto the ski without a mounting plate.
These bindings are compatible with NNN cross-country ski boots; however, they cannot be mounted on skis equipped with pre-mounted NIS plates.

They are the only bindings that fit because they mount directly to the ski without a plate. REI directed me to the binding after I bought track ones that would not work. REI was out of stock. Got them mounted up and used them once around the block after a fresh snow and they worked great. Now I am ready for Eldora Nordic Center.
