BMX Seat Posts
Select the Perfect BMX Seat Post
A BMX seat post is the essential component connecting the BMX frame to the seat. They vary in length, colour, and, crucially, the method of seat attachment. Ensuring compatibility between your seat post and your seat design is vital, which often leads riders to purchase a new post alongside a new seat.
Riders may also opt to replace their BMX bike seat post to modify post length or enhance the range of angle adjustments available.
Varieties of BMX Seat Posts
BMX Pivotal Seat Post
This variant is the most prevalent seat post type. The seat is easily secured to the post using a top-mounted bolt, which is adjusted by tightening or loosening. The position is stabilised by metal teeth on both the post and seat, offering numerous angle options for the seat.
BMX Stealth Seat Post
This is an updated version of the pivotal design, differing in one specific aspect. Instead of top attachment, the stealth seat post is secured from the bottom using a threaded hole. Its primary advantage is the absence of a hole in the seat.
BMX Combo Seat Post
Named for its combined structure, the combo seat post integrates the seat and post into one unit. This means seat angle adjustments are not possible. However, its fixed design is compensated by being lightweight and robust.
BMX Tripod Seat Post
With attachment at three points, this seat post is dubbed the tripod. It offers a sleek look without necessitating a hole in the seat. The limitation, however, is that it permits only two seat angle adjustment options.
BMX Rail Seat Post
The rail seat post includes two plates that secure around the seat's rails. It features teeth on the plates to facilitate seat angle adjustments.
