For dedicated alpine skiers venturing into back-country terrain, this could be the difference between ascending steep and previously inaccessible trails or having to take a longer route around the mountain.

They not only ensure ample grip on steep inclines but also penetrate well into surfaces that are particularly icy or hard-packed. Furthermore, the friction level during forward movement is barely perceptible.
