Functional synthetic clothing often allows sweat and moisture to accumulate on the inside of the fabric, particularly when used in damp or wet situations. Should the exterior layer of these materials absorb water, the clothing can lose up to 70% of its breathability.

This is where the Nikwax product TX-Direct comes into play. This Wash-In version is designed to aid worn technical clothing in regaining some lost DWR (water repellent) and breathability properties.
