Description
The Youth Gone Wild series of titanium bars offer a stiffness-to-weight ratio akin to steel bars but possess half the molecular density. As a result, these titanium bars are almost as light as aluminium while retaining the strength of steel. A significant advantage of opting for titanium is its ability to elongate and its tensile strength. This gives the titanium bars a notably flexible quality, unlike steel or aluminium bars, while also enhancing their durability. Titanium bars will flex back to their original shape instead of bending permanently.
When evaluating the cost and mechanical attributes of the titanium bars, we chiefly advise these for riders possessing a specific skill level—at least intermediate to pro. This suggestion arises due to the potential for them to break if improperly utilised, just like bars composed of other materials.
The Flight bar is a reinforced T-bar, strengthened with gussets at the juncture where the upper section connects with the downtube. It weighs slightly less than the Digger bar, at a mere 763 grams. The bar is oversized with an outer diameter of 35mm and is prepared for SCS compression.
