The Origin of Finger Skateboards

The production of fingerboards began in the 1970s. Initially, they served predominantly as keychains for professional skaters. A homemade fingerboard featured in the 1985 skateboarding video “Future Primitive” brought them into the spotlight. By the late 1990s, finger skateboards grew in popularity and gained recognition beyond the skateboarding community.
