"As a complete beginner on skates I bought these pads because they had a sleeve-type fitting and were not too expensive. I am 6'1", or 1.83m and weigh 200 pounds or 91kg, so I can go down with a thump. I have been down a few times and these pads have done a good job of protecting me. I would definitely have lost some skin and hurt myself without them. They are well made and the elasticated sleeve fitting with elastic straps and a velcro fastener have worked well so far. One day if I get to more ambitious skating I will replace these with some heavier kit, but until then these are doing the job fine and are a fair price."

"Exactly what I was after. I wanted protection but didn't want anything bulky. I like that the pads come in a carry bag as well, makes them easy to store."

"I bought the medium and should have gone large, they fit but not very comfortable. These are more kid pads. Glad I had something on hand to start but I’ll have to get a more expensive pad set. The wrist guards fit me but the plastic brace jams into my palm when I’ve fallen and bruised my hand. Better than wearing nothing (I tried that too)."

"The quality is very good but the fitting didn't match with the size shown in the sizing chart"

"Solid protections, be mindful to wear them correctly though. These have an elastic band that you have to slip through in order to keep them in place. Otherwise, pads may move when a fall occurs and it does render them useless. Wristguards and knee-pads are an absolute must when learning (elbow-pads as well but I've managed to avoid falling on the arms). Keep a balance in tightness as too much tightening would constrict blood circulation."
