This special edition of durable Bones Reds bearings features ceramic bearings. Due to the ceramic balls, these bearings are both lighter and stronger, enhancing their lifespan. The ceramic balls resist rust and typically crush any sand encountered.

Despite this, it's advisable to keep them away from sand and water, as exposure will drastically reduce the bearing's lifespan, particularly if you fail to clean them properly afterwards. Do keep in mind, the metal ring around the bearing is still susceptible to rust.
